Hungry kya? and 30 minutes or free!, a marketing marvel from yesteryear, Domino’s pizza has come a long way. From being the earliest pizza chains in the country, offering a toll free line to order pizzas when telephone charges were not as low as today and probably the first time i heard about pizzas is thanks to them. Sadly my interest for this place has decreased over time.
Nowadays when I visit Domino’s its mostly for their veg singles pizzas, especially the one with creamy onion toppings. From being a family dining restaurant, I visit this place only when I need a quick bite and there are no better alternatives.
Speaking of the pizzas, on my last visit I tried out my usual favorite, the one with onion topping as well as their capsicum pizza. Both were quite nice for the price. Though the toppings were slightly burned, the overall taste was good. However they could improve the quality of their base, which is often chewy, rubbery and bland.
Service is quite average and often takes a long time to arrive.
Pros : Some pizzas taste good.
Cons : Chewy, rubbery and bland base, burnt toppings, the more expensive pizzas are not worth the price.
P.s : Maybe this pizza chain has failed to evolve and improve with time and with increasing number of options, I would rather prefer a Pop Tates or Sal’s pizza which are near this outlet over it.
Location : R City, Ghatkopar West.
Cuisine : Italian, Pizzas
Cost for 2 : Rs. 800 (approx)
