This place is quite a treat from the moment you enter. I may have passed by this place a hundred times on my way to college and since you can’t see the interiors from outside, i didn’t know what to expect. The ambiance was very beautiful and unexpected, the staff greets you when you enter and helps you find a table, all the makings of a great dining experience.
The food here was good too, I had their butter chicken with various rotis, kulchas and parathas. The butter chicken was cooked very well but what amazed me was their Reshmi Makhani Paratha which just melts in your mouth. Definitely the best paratha i have ever had. On my later visits I tried out their Chicken Tikka Biryani and some vegetarian dishes. The Biryani was quite nice but the vegetarian food was nowhere close which left my vegetarian friends quite disappointed. The food here may be expensive but worth it.
Garlic Naan, Paratha and Reshmi Makhani Paratha
Chicken Tikka Biryani
Pros : Good food, hygienic, ambiance and service.
Cons : The head of staff seemed more interested in speaking to foreigners sitting there asking them how their food was and also gave us a weird look when we asked him to increase the number of chairs, which was a turn off, the rotis which cost about Rs.50 each just set the bill soaring, not the best place if you are vegetarian.
P.s : Overall a very good experience and would strongly recommend a visit. Also do try their Reshmi Makhani Paratha.
Location : Holland House, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Road, Colaba.
Cuisine : Mughlai
Cost for two : Rs 800 (approx)
